Ministrys Strategic Plan 2008 - 2012
This Strategic Plan covers the period 2008-2012 and is aimed at guiding the Ministry of Regional Development Authorities in the delivery of its mandate that includes policy guidance, capacity building, and oversight in the management and support to Regional Development Authorities (RDAs). The Strategic Plan anchors its strategic thrust on Kenya Vision 2030 and Medium Term Plan and directs the ministry to focus on integrated regional development initiatives and up-scaling of RDAs’ ongoing programmes.It is through this plan that the ministry will rally concerted efforts from all
stakeholders to remain focused on its vision and mission
Ministrys ISO 9001:2008 Certification Process
The Ministry embarked on this process way back 2006 and 2007 Financial Year and went through the process in the last three years leading to certification of our QMS on July 14th 2009.«« Read More »»
Regional development is critical to poverty reduction. Effective planning, development and implementation of integrated and multi-purpose programmes and projects will significantly contribute to regional-balanced development through employment creation, equitable distribution of resources including food security as well as urban-rural balance. The Ministry of Regional Development Authorities(MoRDA) has the mandate to provide: policy guidance; capacity building and support; and management oversight and support to Regional Development Authorities (RDAs).
To be the leading institution in integrated basin based regional development for the welfare of the people of Kenya.
To facilitate and coordinate RDAs in the execution of participatory,intergrated basin based development programmes through policy guidance and capacity building for sustainable utilization and conservation natural resources.
